Small Research Grants: The IASSCS Emerging Scholars International Fellowship Program

Share

In 2011 IASSCS launched the IASSCS Emerging Scholars International Research Fellowship Program with the overall goal of promoting research capacity development and research dissemination. The specific objectives of the program are to increase the production of research either in or related to the global south, and to expand diverse methodological approaches to conducting research on sexuality. The program is administered by the IASSCS Research Development and Training Committee.

This initiative is in line with the IASSCS’ mission to strengthen research and research capacity globally in socio-cultural dimensions of sexuality, with special attention to countries where sexuality research is not well-developed. With financial support from the Ford Foundation, this initiative represents an important opportunity to strengthen IASSCS’ role and presence as an international research capacity-building institution.
