Established in 1995, the Center for the Study of Sexualities at National Central University in Taiwan is a research- and information-based collective that examines sexuality in its varied embeddedness in gender and other social differences. Although administrated and partially sponsored by the English Department, the Center maintains an inter-disciplinary approach and recruits its research fellows from various departments and overseas institutions. Well known for its intellectual stamina and activist stance, the Center does not shy away from controversy but has challenged conservative agenda will well grounded research and enlightening discourses.
